Spring is a time of rebirth and renewal where everything comes to new life after a long dormant winter. This of course depends on the climate where you live. For many, winter is a time of hibernation and quiet where the trees stand leafless, and the morning frost collects.
Nature’s Cycles
One thing true about nature is that the cycles of death-change-rebirth are very consistent for always and since always. You know that new life will always awaken every spring. The birds come out and somehow sound louder. The flowers appear brighter and the urge to be outside is strong as the air is inviting.
The same death-change-rebirth cycles happen within each of us. Every time you eat food it is chewed, swallowed (dies) and is absorbed as energy (resurrected or transformed) to fuel your body. Your skin cells continuously sluff off, your hair falls out to grow new strands, and your blood cells recycle every 30 days. You are a walking, breathing regenerative being.
Life Always Continues
You can see that life will always continue, even when it appears to be dying. Death of a cell or of a leaf will always lead to new life. Regeneratively, a part of you is constantly being reborn, physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
Life is also a series of both small and big deaths and changes that happen, some expected and some not. But you can always be sure that something new will be reborn from what you let go of. Whether it is death of a job, loss of a relationship or letting go of habit or behavior. There will always be something reborn or renewed that will come from the void that was created from the loss or letting go.
Death – Change Transformation
Moving through the cycles of death and change can be hard. Physical death of a loved one, loss of something important like a job or change events such as your child moving away. It’s interesting to see how those death-change movements in your life bring transformation and many times the transformation can be positive, especially when you can grow or refine your character from the experience in some way. Death-change-transformation events make you stronger.
Growth mindset or learning from your challenges and setbacks comes from a resilient spirit. Having inner tools and resources to meet change when it comes will support you to embrace change, both expected and unexpected. As you often hear, when one door closes, another will open. You may feel doubt or fear about what is behind the new door.
The energy of rebirth, renewal and resurrection is waiting for you to explore behind the new door when you take the steps to move through your death-change life events. There will always be a new spring. Rebirth and renewal are always woven into the change cycle. Letting go of a person, a job or something that feels very comfortable will always offer new hope for when the space opens up there will be an invitation for you to grow with new life.
Change is an opportunity for rebirth, renewal, or to recreate yourself in some way.
