I discovered my stress is a result of fears..

Fears of loss, fears of the unknown, fears of failure, and fears of success. My common response to facing a “fear” is to be distractible, distracted by any other shiny thing I could occupy myself with instead. I have learned strategies to face these fears and see them as challenges instead.  I learned to break down the challenges into small obtainable steps, one step at a time.  And to reward each success.

A NEW VOCABULARY TO CONSIDER…

If we work together or not, here are some terms that will enable you to gain deeper insight and awareness in a particular situation:

Alchemy

  • A power or process that changes or transforms something in a mysterious or impressive way
  • A seemingly magical process of transformation, creation or combination
  • Following specific steps in a ritual to manifest a greater whole from the sum of the parts

Karma

Karma refers to the evolutionary cycles where learning life lessons is based on emotionality and repeated patterns of behavior.  The lessons come repeatedly (as a pattern) until the lesson is learned. The lessons are often learned through pain. The focus is on the what and not the how.

Shamanism

Sourcing universal and spiritual force to catalyze a desired change — in alchemy we harness the energy of the elements, worlds and creation to have magical and lifelong change.  Through alchemy substance can change on a molecular and physical level; bodies, minds and spirits can transform.  Shamanism speeds up the process of healing and transformation.

Dharma

Dharma refers to the evolutionary cycle that follows Karma, where there is opportunity to choose your lessons through access to free will.  Learning is based on learning from pleasure and knowledge.  The focus is on the “how” you will engage and not the “what” you will do.

Shadow

That part of us that is a blind spot that we often cannot see in our persona.  It manifests in behaviors, habits and beliefs that block us from our shining.  When we shine a light into our shadow, we gain awareness, and can transmute the thinking or behaviors related to that part of us that keeps us stuck in our resistance. The shadow is often tied to our past coping mechanisms that have supported us to fit in belong, conform so that we could feel safe as we were growing up.  Later they become our habitual patterns of thinking and behavior.
